      <description>&lt;p&gt;Last Saturday I picked up my new bike.  I&amp;#8217;ll go into more detail about it on the weekend when I have some time to take a few photos, but let me just say that riding a &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fixed_Gear_Bicycle"&gt;fixed gear bike&lt;/a&gt; is a totally rewarding experience.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;I got home from work today while there was still enough light for a quick ride.  I went along the gently undulating Brown Hill Creek Rd.  Staying in the saddle and powering up the hills, knowing that the machine below me was not moving a single inch without my legs spinning also, I felt like I was &lt;i&gt;hauling ass&lt;/i&gt;.  And it felt &lt;i&gt;good&lt;/i&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Going down the hills still scares me, though.&lt;/p&gt;
