Openbox Scripts and Themes
Openbox is a standards compliant, fast, light-weight, extensible window manager.

All scripts below are written in Ruby.
This script creates a menu for selecting backgrounds from openbox3. Download it here. bgmenu sets the background using GNOME or the bsetbg script. Documentation for bgmenu can be found commented at the top of the
obrecent is a proof of concept pipe menu that displays GNOME’s 10 most recently opened items. It is currently quite slow for large recently used file databases, but it may serve as a useful starting point for future work in this area.
