    I'm actually pretty happy with my IKEA stuff, especially the desk I got from them. Pretty rock solid for $50 USD.

    Originally i wasn't keen on ikea but they are pretty cheap and as long as you buy wise you can get some ok stuff from there, you can also buy a whole load of crap...

    Eliene, probably not, but it might be interesting to parallel the effect of IKEA in the US with the invasion of other countries by American retail megacorps. Say, Walmart or Starbucks.
